This painting developed over the course of two years. It was painted, scraped, painted, sanded and again painted. A slow process of building up and tearing down. This is similar of my life’s journey so is it any wonder that my painting process should follow suit? I saw Stephanie in my favorite coffee shop one day and I instantly fell under the spell of her peculiar beauty. I introduced my self sharing about the painting project I was working on inviting her to get involved. Thank god she had the courage to throw her lot in with this knuckle head. This painting is the result of our collaboration: the painter and his muse.
I use only the best quality paint I can find. This particular piece is painted on heavy cotton canvas stretched over a sturdy poplar wood frame.
