Last week Monday I got together with my friend painter and musician Michael Schaeffer at his studio to spend the day making art together. We worked side by side all day long. He was painting and I was doing loose pen drawings with water color washes. The image above was one of the drawings I did that day.
It is not only a very powerful experience to make art along side of another artist but doing your work in a new environment has a way of unlocking new possibilities even though it may feel awkward at first. Michael and I are both in The Wealthy Orphans so playing music together has become second nature. Making art together just seemed like the logical next step.
