Making time for the studio sometimes can seem like a constant battle. There are so many things to do in any given day that making time for making art can easily not happen.
I want to think that everything is important from simple chores like putting away laundry to pulling weeds out of the garden and I know they are and yet setting aside regular quality time for making art in the studio remains an important priority. I think it can be thought of like budgeting your money. At some point you decide how much you can spend on groceries in a week and you do your best to live within that boundary. I have about four hours every day to work on my art and that works for me. I have a couple hours in the morning and a couple in the afternoon.
I think of it like putting money into a bank account. If you can keep steady adding regularly, they may be small deposits but over time you accumulate a large savings that you can draw from when you need it.
