The Wonder Wagon was created for Art Prize 2009 as a mobile art gallery to be parked along side the Grand River in the midst of a gypsy styled encampment. The following year we used the Wonder Wagon again as part of a much larger site specific art installation called Plan B that created a fictional post Peek Oil tent city again along side the Grand River with an improvised working kitchen,a peddle powered electric generator, large tents made out of bill board vinyl and much more.
We have continued to use the Wonder Wagon walking it to different locations in the city to display our art. We will be once again taking to the road Friday morning January 20th. We will be leaving our house, 106 Fuller Ave SE at 10:00AM. We would like you to come and help us walk the Wagon to the DAAC at 115 South Division Street. The Wealthy Orphans will be playing a concert there along with Bad Heart Bull beginning at 9:00PM. The Wonder Wagon will be filled with new art from the Beerhorst House. If you are walking with us bring an instrument or a noise maker. Lets bring more life into our city. Lets bring down the walls of winter isolation and build a warm communal fire of good music, art, dance and yummy food!
