I have been working on a new illustration for Christianity Today. I do everything old school when it comes to creating my art work. This shot of my work table gives you an idea of how I am working. I carve the images out in wood after I develop the design with drawings. I do use my computer to send a digital file to the art director for approval but all the image making is done the old fashion way. When I graduated from college in 1982 computers had not become part of the scene yet.
I spent some time this morning looking at Adobe Illustrator tutorials and I am pretty pumped to launch into creating images with my computer. The cost of the soft ware is pretty intimidating and where to begin is confusing but I need to start somewhere. If you have any helpful suggestions please pass them my way.
