Brenda and I began going to the Cornerstone Festival back in 1989 and have been back many times over the years. It got increasingly challenging with a growing cluster of young children but we always managed to have a great time. It was as if the increased challenge made the bliss even sweeter. We always found ourselves returning home opened up more to God and our own creative potential. The Fest is such a collecting place of misfits and scrambled youth culture that you get a quick overview of every weird thing that is bubbling up from the underground culture streams around the world. It is kind of like surfing the net but in physical reality.
We have been invited to come back this year and run an art making workshop with our Family. Our workshop will combine painting and collage. We are excited to do this but it creates the problem of how in the heck do we get down there. It is about an 8-9 hour drive. We would like to take our Wonder Wagon on a trailer. We can rent a trailer from U-Haul for about $200 for the week but we need a vehicle with a trailer hitch with seating for our family as well. If you have such a vehicle and you are willing to let us use it please let us know. We are willing to pay you for this privilege because we know upkeep of a vehicle is expensive. (If you have the auto but no hitch we would be willing to pay for a hitch to be added.)
We are planning on being at this event we just don't know how we are getting down there yet. We know this will work out one way or another.
