This is a painting by David Miretsky. He is a Russian born artist who resides in New York. I have recently discovered him through a local gallery here in Grand Rapids. I really like his work and find a strong connection with my own. This particular drawing of a woman in front of a mirror is one of my favorite images to work with. I enjoy his attention to detail and the warmth in these painitngs. It helps to find artists who are working in a similar vein. It seems to help pull me along.
