sketch book
Monday, August 28, 2006 at 10:07PM I did some sketch book play/work today while I was with Grace and Rain at the park. Making entries into my little book of the moment is one way to keep me connected into the place I am. It is also a studio on the go with me where ever I am. Some times I think drawing and prayer come together in these little drawings. I want heaven to come down while I go through my day.

Ive been following the accounts of your journey somewhat sporatically. I've poured over your wonderful photos of your beautiful family. Such beatific eyes of your children you are truly blessed living with inspiration all around you.Of course you know this. I have always felt that prayer and drawing are closely connected in sense that the act of drawing is a quiet reverent task and when we depict creation all around us we are at the same time worshiping the Creator.Rick you did a very brave thing moving your family to NY and you appear to continue stretching yourself artistically and musically by putting yourself out there with innovated performances and open air art market. I've kept in mind to continue to take risks myself. For it's death to get too comfortable. All the more reason to lean on God,eh brother? Love in Christ, Jake
I saw a drawing in a colleagues office called "mood swings" and signed by Jake Pierre. Was that you and can I purchase a copy???
