good to go...

The wind is blowing hard against the carriage house this morning. The wood stove is full of dry cherry wood and brilliant flame fighting back the cold. I have allready begun painting into the "musical expression" painting. The painting moves ahead very slowly, brushing in thin layers of oil color with tiny sable brushes. The sable comes from the upper reaches of Russia from these rodents that have developed beautiful thick fur coats to keep them alive living in some of the harshest winter climate in the world. Their fur make the best brushes and they are made one at a time by the careful hands of craftsmen. These brushes enable my artistic reach on a cold blustery winter morining in Michigan.
I am so thankful for every day I get to continue painting. It makes my life so full of beauty, mystery and sweet sadness. Everything is potential inspiration for the next creative journey. The little bits and pieces of our strange life that keep us connected to the music of the spheres, the dance of unseen giants, and the tumbling of noisy children.

Rick, I haven't been able to get the print, "Girl with the bell in her throat" framed, but I took it out the other day and propped it on a stack of books on my bedside table. It slips off once a day, but it's safe and brings me pleasure every time I look at it.
Thank you for the beauty.
Alison, bring it by and I will frame it for you. Don't be shy.
Thank you for having the eyes and heart for beauty.
