Summer Vacation

We are leaving in about an hour to go on our summer vacation.  We will be at the last Cornerstone Festival which will be the close of a long family tradition for us.  The Festival is in a fair ground in Bushnell Illinois.  There will be lots of bands and fans.  This has been a collecting place for many of the Christian punks and hippy misfits from around the country.  It has been that four days once a year when you can feel more at home than usual.

It is a big deal to get all eight of us on the road for a week long camping adventure.  These trips always include and interval or two that feels more like hell then a vacation.  We have come to realize that the hardships woven into these adventures are part of the deal.  If nothing else these trials serve as contrast to the times that feel like heaven has fallen down to earth.
