Perspective Lifters Is Up At MadCap

Last night we installed our ArtPrize project we call Perspective Lifters at the MadCap Coffee Company in downtown Grand Rapids MI.  This was the culmination of a summer of meeting every Sunday night with the addition of group work days.  I was nervous all day yesterday because I just wasn't sure how everything was going to actually come together once we got our hands on the empty coffee shop.  My worries were soon laid to rest as I saw everyone just pitch in to work.  It was really heart warming to see how everyone came together so smoothly to do what ever needed to be done.  From 6:30 to 10:30 everything just went together like 1,2,3.  We drove home with the entire project nearly complete.  There will be some additional adjustments over the next few days but otherwise the space at MadCap is ready to rock.

Hello Mr.Beerhorst!

I'm quite sure you don't remember me. I remember you and your family though. I used to come down to your house on hollister st and play with rose and pearl. My dad and I stayed on the corner. For some reason you guys have been on my mind lately. It's so wonderful that I was able to find you! I see that all is well. I hope to hear from you guys soon!

With Love and Blessings,

Breanna

The installation looks fantastic! Please post on its progress and show pictures of the completed product.

Also, I blogged about the Brooklyn Museum's Go Project. I must say I had a blast as both a volunteer and patron.

Thanks Christine! We will have more pictures soon. It was a relief to have the whole thing go up so smoothly. I was pretty uptight the last few days before the install. Good news about the Go Project. I am glad you got involved. Smart on your part. Be well, Rick
