Resurection Ready To Pounce
Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 6:50AM
This is a shot of our garden from the back yard perch off Brenda and my bedroom a few years ago. Everything looks so lush and beautiful on that day.
It is March ninth and it feels like it has been winter forever. There is still a heavy load of old crusted snow on the ground and plenty of ice on the side walks and streets. The maple sap has begun to run which is a sure sign that old man winter is begining to loose his grip.
Skilled living gets its start in the Fear-of-God,
insight into life from knowing a Holy God.
It's through me, Lady Wisdom, that your life deepens,
and the years of your life ripen. -Solomon
There is a wisdom hidden in the cycle of the seasons. There is deep purpose to the harsh blue grey of a long Michigan winter. I know that there is another resurrection getting ready to pounce in the coming Spring and I want to be ready for her.
The garden has become a way into a more meaningful relationship with the natural world. The garden has become another place to meet Lady Wisdom.
