We are now saying good bye to summer as the cool temperatures become the norm and the trees take on their fall colors. The sunflowers in the yard are bowing their heads and the basil is being picked for the last batches of pesto for the season.
We have had a great summer. Thanks to all of you who came out to the Artisan's Market on Sunday afternoons and bought prints and button bracelets or just took time to visit. Thanks to all the farmers who brought their produce into the market so faithfully on farmer market days. Thanks to the humming birds who visited our backyard farm this year to take drinks from our blossoms. Thanks to the little toads that were willing to come home with us from the Hodenpyl trail in East Grand Rapids and be friends with Grace and Rain.
We are seeing our oldest daughter Rose move out this month. She is gathering together all her stuff she will be taking with her to make her own home. She is moving in with a few of her good friends which also means we are saying good bye to two of our wonderful tenants, Rachel McKay and Rosie Rincones as they move in with Rose.
It is a good thing God makes Fall so beautiful with color and spicey smells or the sadnes of saying good bye to summer would be just too much.
