What is it that you really want? Do you know anymore? Have you given up or are have you just fallen asleep into a life that has just carried you away to someplace you don't want to be? Perhaps it is time to have a good look in the mirror and see who's looking back.
We have dreams when we are young and then as we grow older, after suffering multiple layers of disappointment, we quietly walk away from our dreams. We back up into a life that is a lot less. We learn to settle. But what if we were to learn how to recapture the optimism of our youth and put that together with good planning and a team of good friends? Perhaps we could begin again. Maybe we could build the kind of life where our dreams become realized and evolve into even larger visions. Maybe we can grow beyond what we were able to imagine in our previous wing clipped life.
Imagine a young chicken is brought to the hen house. She has had her wings clipped so that she can't escape over the fence. She is now in place to live out her life of eating, pecking and egg laying. When the chicken first arrived she made several attempts to get over the fence but every time she failed and ended up embarrassed and bruised under her feathers. After awhile the hen just gave up and settled into her new life in the small back yard. Many months later some how she got the notion to try again. She did not realize that her feathers had been slowly growing back over the course of those months. This time her attempt took her sailing right over the fence into the neighbors yard of deep long green grass. Don't you think she would feel pretty good?
