Grand Rapids has been my home for most of my 53 years. It is where Brenda and I chose to raise our family. This has been the place where I built the foundation of my career. Here are the long lasting relationships that help me keep to my unique path. I have begun an ArtPrize project titled City As Muse to celebrate my home town. AMDG Architects have graciously agreed to be one of our corporate sponsors. They are hosting a talk I will give this Friday February 28 at noon in their offices at 25 Commerce Suite 300. This will give me an opportunity to cast the vision of this project in a way that I hope will be fun and informative.
You can get more details and sign up for the Facebook event here. It would be great if you could join us with your lunch in tow. As a note, This building is a very old building that has never updated is now very quaint and old fashioned elevator. The door will not open automatically for you when it is in place. You must actually pull it open to get in. The first time I visited I waited and waited for the door to open and finally just took the stairs. Oh the charm of old things.
